Tift® professional training overview
Tift works with minimal exposure to trauma and is thus particularly suitable for clients with complex trauma.
The course is aimed at psychiatrists-psychotherapists, psychotherapists, and psychotherapists in training with practical experience in the treatment of trauma and complex trauma. In case of an equivalent professional training, you will be admitted based on the course(s) you have taken.
Tift training at a glance
Tift® training consists of basic, intermediate and advanced training at 1-year intervals, with follow-up after each level of training. Attendance at all 4 days is required. The trainings can be terminated after each level.
- 4-day basic training, including 3 days in person and 1 day online, followed by:
- 5 modules (post-training modules 1-5)
- Supervision in small groups approximately every 6 weeks
- Individual supervision as required
- Therapy sessions to gain first-hand experience of Tift
After this 4-day training course, therapists can practice Tift with their clients, except with colleagues of the same level of training.
- 4-day intermediate training, including 3 days in person and 1 day online, followed by:
- 5 modules (post-training modules 1-5)
- Supervision in small groups approximately every 6 weeks
- Individual supervision as required
- Therapy sessions to gain first-hand experience of Tift if necessary
After this 4-day course, therapists can practice Tift with their clients as well as with colleagues from the basic training.
- 4-day advanced training, including 3 days in person and 1 day online, followed by:
- Optional modules and supervision according to the wishes of the group;
After this 4-day training course, therapists can practice Tift with their clients and give Tift sessions without restriction.
Attendance at the post-training modules, group supervisions and a personal Tift experience give access to the next training level.
